Teacher Trainings & the aftermath
Any yoga studio you go to, have you noticed the teacher trainings on offer?
If you’re just a student, you wonder if taking that training will take your practice up a notch? Put you higher up on the spiritual ladder (instead of the corporate)? Or add some meaning to your life, may be?
No matter what ever your reason is, you realise very soon, the more you know the more you want to know because how less you actually know. Adding to it a double whammy of making it a profession can really be overwhelming given the tough competition there is in this market. Even though Yoga isn’t really a profession but to be in the run, one has to have their unique edge that probably comes only if its practiced and fully integrated in one’s daily life.
That said, where do you go to market your newly list of classes? Sure the studio is doing their bit. But is that enough?
“Oh where do i go for my morning vinyasa!” “Do you know where can i find Kathak classes?”
We all have been there at some point or the other.
Wouldn’t it be nice, if it could be possible to see what are the new classes happening around! To go and check it out for yourself without having to know all the information beforehand which only acts as a kill joy really. I mean theres hardly any limit to over share these days. Pursuing a discipline until you make it or break it. What happened to being old school?
Because if we just continue to do these online classes or copy the videos on “live”, who will be our peer to put pressure on us? That acts as the catalyst to amazing partnerships spurring out creativity and some ultimate master piece of works!
